Charity Walk - Chest, Heart and Stroke - 28th June 2008 PDF Print E-mail

hamiltonsbawn_walk_018.jpgOn 28th June the residents of Hamiltonsbawn took part in a charity walk to help raise money for The Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke Association. Approximately 20 participants commenced the walk at The Corner Bar in Hamiltonsbawn, continuing along the Annareagh Road to The Normandy Bar in Richhill and back again to finish at The Corner Bar in Hamiltonsbawn, approximately 4 miles in total with refreshments being served at the finish point after the event was completed.

Other events were planned to help raise more money for the charity which consisted of a Virgin Vie Party and a Disco, approximately £1,500 was raised in total. The aim of the Northern Ireland Chest, Heart and Stroke Association is to promote the prevention of and alleviate the suffering resulting from chest, heart and stroke illnesses in Northern Ireland.
